Men's shirt refashion

My family and I are going to the beach next week for a much needed vacation. Last night, in anticipation, I hacked up one of my oversized men's shirts to use as a beach cover up. It was my first attempt at a refashion, and I didn't measure or mark or pin anything... just started cutting and pinching and sewing until it took roughly the shape I was hoping for. None of the tucks are even, none of the seams are the same length, and it's still a bit poufier than I wanted, but it'll do. I may tie-dye it (or tea dye it?) some lovely earthy color to help hide the inept needlework.
